Elana, I very much enjoyed Elana's Tale and was eager to follow this tale and followed it as you posted it last year. You do very well in addressing difficult subjects, I especially like you approach them in a straightforward manner without pulling punches of being needlessly gruesome. I don't often read alternate universe or alternate versions, as I have so much admiration for JRRTolkien that I don't usually enjoy the changes, but this one was masterfully done, well-woven and explained, and it's easy to find relief in Antheod's life, but I have to wonder if you plan a third in this series. I can't imagine that he and Elana will not find each other in a distant land where they can be together and he can help her raise Deore.

An interesting tale. The way you characterise Theodred is very interesting and turns him from a minor character into an interesting and well drawn person. This tale feels like there are bits of its background missing, although as it is a sequal to another story those things may be included there, but mostly it stands alone. There are a few uses of language that seem to jar against the tale, but not too badly.
