Summary: In response to a challenge that assigned the phrase "Are you mad?", my OFC Helyanwe attempts to go down in family history and cause laughter to follow her example. An early piece in my Helyanwe-cycle.

I love this glimpse into the social life of the family of Fëanáro; the summers spent as an extended family enjoying themselves - and these four young adults working on their own private, but very practical, project involving many skills to achieve the aim of the youngest of them. It is always interesting to read a story written by someone with real practical knowledge of what they are describing; Erulisse clearly has such knowledge - what a shame that, off-line, she is not physically close enough to Clodia Metelli for them to collaborate on a practical project...

I like Erulisse's OFC, Helyanwe; I think she is very well described and characterized. I love this nice tale from her childhood.

A gentle story that made me laugh. Helyanwë is a spunky young woman, and a wonderful original character.

What a lot of work to get a rise out of Indis. But it was worth it in the end.
