This is a beautifully-plotted story. My only objections are that IMHO, a follower of Sauron, especially a highly-placed one, would do so more for reasons of power or fear than just because he happens to be on the opposite side. And Sauron and his followers would be much more likely to use cruelty rather than generosity to keep their followers in line. But the story is wonderfully crafted, leaving the reader wondering with each chapter what comes next. The OCs are very well written, as are Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. This is a well-written thriller that is not to be missed.

The story was written for Teitho contest, the theme was Devil's Advocate; so, Starlight9 writes this from the POV of Haradrim assasin. The story is really thrilling and tense, and keeps reader's attention from the very first sentence. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I'll just say that everyone should read this and find out how this very skillful assasin made a final mistake.

I found this a gripping and enjoyable story and even felt a little sympathy for the villain. I was left wanting to know what happened to his daughter and if she could grow up free from hatred or would try to avenge her father one day. This story clearly knows the tragedy of war.
