Dapper, you are so damn predictable. Predictably good! Boyish grins, ink stains, miniature whirlwinds, violation, blushing, coy interest, laughing, Erestorís dirty stories, Galionís sage advice. If this story were a song it would be called the Great Switcheroo! I donít know what it would sound like precisely, but itíd be kind of mellow with lots of fun and clever guitar licks and you could play it in the middle of a summer day and feel warm and happy. You have taken the tradition fandom characterizations of Erestor and Glorfindel and turned them completely around, what a breath of fresh air this was! I laughed and laughed. And when Glorfindel said, [I could cross my legs with the best of them!] I do believe I lost my mind. Truly hilarious! A glorious character study of both Erestor and Glorfindel. I especially loved the interplay between them, so enticing, especially when Glorfindel refused to allow Erestor entry to his office so Erestor always stopped at the threshold, bouncing on the balls of his feet and smiling. Marvelous, I could picture it perfectly! And then the misunderstanding with the flower! Funny and cringe-worthy, but not gratuitous humiliation, all at the same time. Thanks for the chuckles, wonderfully humorous, and I enjoyed the first person Glorfindel's POV.

This story was delightful! Had me smiling and giggling and enamored of both of the characters! I adored Erestor's boundless enthusiasm and Glorfindel's annoyance with all things advisorly. There are so many snippets that I could quote to illustrate the humor and the romance, but I won't do that. I will just say that I adore the mussed Erestor that bounces and manages to mess up a time honored courtship by mis-understanding Glorfindel's intent. Had me rolling on the floor with laughter but was still so endearing, especially Glorfindel's reaction to it all. This was simply marvelous and a joy to read!

This was a really good story, a different look at this couple. I love how you've still gotten the slightly 'odd-couple' feel to them, but the personalities are a bit different than how they are written normally. The slightly gruffy tones of a perhaps more introverted warrior against the bright, almost bubbly personality of the adviser really, really work well. It's a great warm, feel good story. I like your work a lot.

I was very glad to find this on the list here. Really loved the fresh, interesting characterizations of these two well-known elves - I love the way more people are finding new ways to write them instead of the earlier, predictable stereotypes. Your Erestor is a wonderful antidote to all those shy, angsty examples, and Glorfindel is -- utterly hugable!. There were a whole lot of laughs and not a few awww moments, all coming to a lovely, warm and totally right conclusion. Not really fluffy, more like a warm, very enjoyable read.

This presents a delightfully different characterisation of both Glorfindel and Erestor. It is very refreshing to see Erestor being bright and bubbly, rather than the usual neurotic librarian, and Glorfindel as a gruff fighter is very well done. The humour is delicious as well.

This is an entirely different Erestor than I have seen in other stories, which makes the contrast to Glorfindel even greater. I had to laugh about the misreading of Glorfindel's offering and the consequences. I don't think Glorfindel was the only one with the wish to strangle Erestor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story on first reading and just as much this time round. It is fun and light-hearted and is nicely done. I start smiling as I read and end up grinning hugely. Lovely.

I don't read a lot of slash anymore, but this story is simply fetching and delightful. Heartwarming and very enjoyable.
