I hadn't thought of this reason for Elros's decision to join with men, but as inspiration behind it, Celebrimbor serves well. And I like that Elrond finally understood when he gave Arwen to Aragorn. As individuals who bridge the gap between elves and men, it's very appropriate that Elrond and Elros should try to look after both.

I like how that brought Elros's decision full circle to the Return of the King. It's a much more positive reason for Elros choosing what he did than I usually see.

This fiction was a beautiful haunting telling of the reasons that Elros chose as he did. I would like to think that Elros chose his path because he knew that men and all of ME would need his strength to win the fight that would come in the third age. There is much said in few words in this fic.
