I'm in awe of this story! Not that it is a great work of art, like LOTR itself, but for the winding road it follows. Cathleen not only took Tulip on an excellent adventure, but then has Pippin following the trail like Sherlock Holmes when Tulip tells him that she won't say where she has been but that he must figure it all out himself. Such a fantastically creative story!!

Growing up, I had (and still have) a toy dog that went on many adventures. Perhaps not as many as Tulip enjoyed, but this story definitely brought back fond memories. Great nostalgic trip! And I love the way that this knitted pig can speak to Pippin. And in Pippin's mind, it's as real as anything else. It's a very childlike trait that requires a wealth of imagination, but if anyone could possess that, it would be Pippin. Heartwarming story!

It's one of those extraordinary days for Tulip as she finds herself visiting all parts of the farm there near Whitwell, and not necessarily from her preferred perch on her lad's shoulder. But it's a day for adventures and unexpected meetings with the various animals, it appears.... Another charming look at life within the Shire as experienced by wee-Pippin and his knitted friend! Makes me wish I could visit and spend a few days in the farmhouse! Heh!
