The reality of the setting is evoked marvellously - I can almost hear the sound of the surf and taste the salt on my lips. Aragorn is clearly dubious about this trip and doesn't entirely trust the Elves' explanations and benign intentions, almost feeling the fact they are setting him up for something. The description of the surprise visitor is lovely, and I like how "he" is joining in the good-natured teasing.

This drabble does something very nice- it shows that there may be a huge amount of surprise found in small and unfamiliar things, not just the grand adventures we know from Aragorn. And it also showcases the learning that turned this foster child of the Elves into the accomplished king.

Even Aragorn son of Arathorn may be taken by surprise now and then as he meets a neighbor to those Elves who live near the sea. A lovely surprise as I consider an Aragorn who is perhaps a bit more than half naked--heh!

A lovely drabble, whimsical and slightly sexy (Aragorn wading in the ocean, apparently not wearing much); I loved the surprise at the end. I don't think I've ever seen an Aragorn piece quite like this, and it's a great little read. Nice to see that some Elves have a sense of humor, along with their mysterious friend.

Having lived most of my life close to the sea, the title promised I would enjoy this - and sure enough I did. It left me with a broad smile on my face. I could smell the sea, almost feel the water, and was grinning along with the elves even before I knew the joke. Iím sure Aragorn had a great time getting to know his new friend.

Very funny drabble ... mood and setting is shown very well with limited words, and the surprise "neighbor" is a nice little funny twist at the end.
