possibly MIA authors Posted by Marta June 21, 2009 - 0:42:14 Topic ID# 10041
Hey guys,

Another week, another list of actions that are possibly hard to find.
According to our records these authors have had pieces nominated a
week or more, and they haven't emailed to say they want to accept the
nomination or otherwise shown that they know they've been nominated.
As always, this is intended as a precaution -- these authors may have
good reason not to be in touch yet, or they may have been in touch and
there was a miscommunication between the other volunteers and myself.

But: if you see your name listed below and you didn't know you were
nominated, contact your liaison. Or contact me at
mefasupport-at-mefawards-dot-net. And if you *did* know you were
nominated, you probably will want to email your liaison or me to see
what the hold-up is. Just to be on the safe side.

This week's list of potentially hard to reach authors is very short! Here it is:

Firefly-Maj (liaison: elea24, eleabella-at-googlemail-dot-com)
Rianiel (liaison: elliska, elliska67-at-yahoo-dot-com)
SheBit (liaison: agape4gondor, agape4rivendell-at-gmail-dot-com)
Shire cat (liaison: Cathleen, virginia_lee_redcat-at-yahoo-dot-com)
SilverMoonLady (liaison: Cathleen, virginia_lee_redcat-at-yahoo-dot-com)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Marta

Hi Marta,

I just tried to forward your email to SilverMoonLady, using the email
address at the Open Scrolls site, but the email bounced. :-(

Hi Marta,
I'll try to contact Firefly-Maj via FFN and tell her to email her liaison.

Marta:

Has anyone heard from Golden ( I nominated her for #107, "An Autumn Ride")?
I don't know who her liaison is, but I have emailed her myself several
times. I know she's been having some family trouble, but I'm not sure if
she has contacted her liaison.

Barbara, I spoke with her a week or so ago and she said she would contact her liaison, but couldn't fill out her forms for a couple weeks yet. I thought she had made contact with someone right after that?

Hello,

I'm *SheBit*'s liaison. I sent out the original nom letter on 6/11 and
followed up with a 'gentle reminder' email on 6/17. I even put a little note
up at LJ asking her to contact me. I've heard nothing. I'm hoping she's been
on vacation and swamped with emails upon her return or some such......

Annmarwalk sent me a note saying she was trying to contact her too as Ann
was the nominator.

Blessings,
Agape

I just nudged her on Facebook and sent her a message. I did see that she hasn't been online for a month or so, at OSA for about 2 months...

And I just dropped a note to Firefly-Maj, letting her know so hopefully
she'll be in touch soon with her liaison.

She is aware of the nomination; she mentioned it in a recent comment at tolkien_weekly.
