But I can't contact the author (my e-mails return unanswered), and it seems she hasn't updated any stories since 2004 (in which year she had an entry in the MEFAs). Is anyone here still in contact with her and/or knows how to reach her?

My only suggestion would be to go to the Marigold's Challenge site, and
leave a comment. If she still has an LJ and was tracking comments, then she
might see it and respond. A long shot, I know.

I notice that at the time the author was also listed as "darth_snuggles".
She still has an LJ, but has changed her name a couple of times. I *think*
but am not certain, that she may be known as "adesso" now.

Thank you _very_ much for tracking down this info, Dreamflower! I have written to "Adesso" (found an e-mail address via her LJ) and hope I got the right person - and of course hope also for a positive answer ;-)!
