Hey guys,

Since nominations are over, I can give you the final list of
hard-to-reach authors. As always, there may be good reasons for an
author to appear on this list, like if they're deciding whether to
compete or not. But if you know an author listed you should double-check
that they know they've been nominated. Authors *must* finish up the
nomination process by July 7, and I really encourage getting done by
July 4-5ish, to give yourself and the liaisons time to work out any
problems there might be.

First, here are some authors that have been nominated at least a week,
and seem not to know they were nominated. According to my records they
haven't begun their forms and haven't been in contact with their authors.

Next, these authors are in a similar situation, except they've only been
nominated less than a week.

Normally I wouldn't mention them; some were nominated as recently as
last night nd have every reason no to have gotten in touch with their
liaison yet about the nomination. But because of the fast-approaching
deadline I want to make sure they know they've been nominated. If you
know these authors, please let them know they've been nominated. But
please do it in a way that makes it clear: they've only *just* been
nominated, and you're just checking to make sure they've heard.

This is a list of every nomination that is 100% ready for competition -
if you aren't listed here it's a good bet that you still need to do
something to finish up your nomination. Sometimes it's a formality, like
emailing your liaison to say that you want to compete, and can be taken
care of quickly. Other times your liaison may have spotted something you
need to fix with your nomination form before it can be finalized. And
still other times, you may have just finished the form a day or two ago,
and your liaison or yours truly may still be looking over it.

If you *know* you are still working on a form, take the time you need;
you still have almost a week. But if you think you're done and are not
listed here --especially if you've been done more than 2-3 days-- please
double-check with your liaison or email me at
mefasupport-at-mefawards-dot-net. I'd hate for someone not to compete,
when they wanted to.

Magglie Honeybite's a bit distracted by Real Life right now; I'll try to reach her via LJ, but won't be surprised if she doesn't respond. I don't know if I'll be able to get ahold of Naltariel either, but will try.

Thanks for your effort.

I wish every nominated author who wants to would compete, but I do
understand about RL pressures. The good news is (assuming the authors
choose not to compete or just can't get around to it), the pieces will
still be eligible in future years. They'll be automatically withdrawn
for the authors after July 7, and it won't count against the author.

Of course I do hope the authors will be able to compete. Let me know if
I can be of help.

Marta, I just got an email reply from Naltariel. She never received her nomination email (she says she's been having some problems with her email service recently). She's definitely interested in competing, and should be contacting her Liaison ASAP.

Thanks. If she gets in touch with her liaison the email can be resent,
and it's not desperately important that the author receive that exact
email; her liaison can tell her what she needs to do to compete.
