TolkienFanFiction down tomorrow night Posted by Marta October 25, 2009 - 20:21:48 Topic ID# 10217
Hey guys,

The website http://www.tolkienfanfiction.com/ will be offline several
hours tomorrow. They are moving to a new server, on 10/27 starting at
22:00 GMT (10 PM GMT); the move should last a few hours.

This effects the MEFAs because several of the stories nominated in this
year's awards are hosted at TFF. If you click on one of those stories'
titles (to open up the webpage to read the story) you will get an error
message.

This is not a MEFA issue (so nothing we can do to fix), and the
volunteers for the site that is affected know that their site will be
down. I'm sure they'll get the site up again as quickly as possible. So
no need to report to anyone that you get an error message. I suggest you
add the story to your wish list at the MEFA website, and just move on to
reading/reviewing other stories hosted at other sites.

Marta

Hi Marta,

Thanks for the heads-up; however, the downtime is Tuesday night, not
tomorrow night.

Thanks, Barbara. This weekend has been a bit weird, and I honestly
thought today was Monday (as odd as that sounds!)

She is right: - TFF will be down on Tuesday night, not Monday night. My
apologies for the confusion.
