OT - AOL hacking? Posted by Alassante7 June 30, 2010 - 14:53:49 Topic ID# 10594
Recently two people from the LOTR fandom who are my contact list have been sending out spam. Both of them were from AOL email addresses. I contacted the first one and found out she never used that AOL account anymore. She changed the password and hopefully that's all it will take. Don't know if the second one uses that email anymore or not. I couldn't find anything online (very quick search, it might actually be out there) about a specific AOL hacking issues but I did find this article:
http://mac.zicos.com/news.php/n/25087544/Change-Your-Passwords-Email-Account-Hacking-on-the-Rise

If you have an AOL account, or any others like yahoo and hotmail, you might want to change your password.
