Reviewer Target Posted by mvoltfan July 14, 2010 - 13:03:33 Topic ID# 10657
Hi - late question - is it still possible to set a reviewer target? I found the info on this page (http://mefawards.net/MEFA2010/index.php?page=FAQreviewergoal#jun_3):

"You can set a reviewer target during the four weeks after categorisation ends. When you log into MEFA2010 during this period you will see a new option inviting you to enter or change your reviewing target."

I don't see this option when I log in. That's because the four weeks is up, isn't it? If so, that's my own fault for being late, but if it is still possible for me to set a target please let me know!

Actually, I don't think that the categorization period has ended yet, as they are still finalizing the categories in which our tales will appear. So you haven't missed setting your target yet -- the time for that should be coming soon, if I have my dates right!

Hiya mvoltfan,

Linaewen is right. You should see the link described starting 16-July,
which is also the date when reviews will first show up and the day
*after* categorizations are "set." 14-July (today) is the last day to
request your story be moved, but that's only so the volunteers and I
will have a chance to make a decision before the end of categorizing season.

So you haven't missed anything. I'm actually going to be making this
week's educational post about reviewing goals, though I may not get that
posted until tomorrow.

Are the reviews we've made so fare also counted in the review goal, or the counting starts from zero after setting a goal? *unsure*

Hi Ellynn,

The website adds up all your hidden and final reviews, and then compares
that to your goal. As soon as the two numbers are equal, your goal is
met from the website's point of view. It doesn't look at when you wrote
the reviews at all.

The only thing that doesn't count are draft reviews. Those are the ones
that are never displayed and don't give the author any points.

Thanks for the answer, Marta. But you didn't have to trouble yourself answering my question twice, as you wrote all that (and even more detailed) in your admin-message. Thanks a lot!
