problems with MEFA/HASA links? Posted by raksha022002 July 14, 2010 - 18:36:19 Topic ID# 10662Is it just me?
When I try to access my MEFA-nominated stories that are at HASA, I get a blank screen with '<.'. Same thing occurs when I click on the HASA urls of some of the stories by others who I have nominated to MEFA, via the MEFA site of course. And the same thing occurs when I go outside MEFA to access HASA through my bookmarks.
Is anyone else having this problem? It happened once before to me, several days ago, and not through MEFA, and seemed to be resolved an hour or so later.
I was alerted tonight to the problem by a MEFA participant who was trying to read one of my pieces at HASA; otherwise I would not have been aware of the problem. I am now contemplating asking to switch all my HASA URLS in my MEFA sites to alternate URLS (which is a pain, but I think I included some alternate URLs on at least some of my MEFA nomination forms); and I advise others with MEFA-nominated stories to check on their links.

Re: problems with MEFA/HASA links? Posted by linaewen0 July 14, 2010 - 19:35:43 Topic ID# 10662It may have been a temporary glitch -- I had no problems just now accessing my HASA-linked tales from the MEFA site, and I also was able to access HASA outside of the MEFA form.

Just looked at your noms and clicked on a bunch that were at HASA, and had
no problems whatsoever accessing them.
Hope this helps!

Re: problems with MEFA/HASA links? Posted by telperion1 July 15, 2010 - 4:08:50 Topic ID# 10662Hi Raksha,
I haven't had the problem either. I don't know that it's "just you,"
though - it may be a problem on HASA's end, or a larger internet problem
beyond just you that only affects some people. Since you get a screen at
all when clicking a link, I don't think it's a problem on our end.
If this is a persistent (or even recurring) problem, I suspect the HASA
volunteers would like to know about it. You can reach them using their
contact form:

Hi,
I have had exactly the same thing twice in the past week when going direct to HASA - but each time it's been fine if I've gone back an hour or two later. But is definitely not the MEFA/HASA links.
Don't know if this helps or not....
