I was just reviewing, and when I saved my review, all of a sudden, the site displayed, over the top of other text, the fancrone warning that this is only a test site.
That wasn't happening ten minutes ago, so I'm not sure what just happened.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Hi Dwim,
That was me being stupid. I was messing around in the code and forgot to
switch that setting when I uploaded to the actual MEFA site. Everything is
fine with the site, it's just that the test site warning message got turned
on for the real site.
Sorry about that!

Hm. Well, the test site message is gone, but I can't get any of the drop-downs to work now. They'll unfold, but when I select something, the site just reloads the home page. I think something else got fouled up accidentally, or else Firefox is hiccoughing.

I mention this in conjunction with Dwimordene's earlier message about the drop-downs not working, in case this is related (although I know that particular issue was solved.) As of some time last night, the menu does not display in its usual black strip across the top: instead, the menu items are displaying in bullet form as read links, *over* the regular page content.
This is restricted to Firefox - everything looks fine in Explorer, but the problem replicates has replicated itself in Firefox on three different computers I have tried (one laptop, two library computers.)
The links are clickable and the site is still navigable.

Hi,
The links all display in dropdown menus for me now, but (using Firefox
3.6.18 on a Windows Vista laptop) they aren't clickable, and when I mouse
over, a horizontal scrollbar displays at the bottom of the screen.
Sorry to be such a bother.

I'm having the same thing as Elleth, and my Firefox is 5.0. The interesting thing is that while the menu looks all right and I am able to *see* the correct URLs when I mouse over the different links, the links themselves are not working. I think something may have introduced when you fixed the problem with the menu earlier today: the menu looks the way it ought to and drops down as I scroll over it, it's just that clicking the links doesn't do anything.
(The current glitch does not stop me from doing what I need to do as my browser remembers all the pertinent URLs anyway.)

Not sure why, but it is...I do not think it is the server.

Hi Aranel:
I'm having the same thing as Elleth, and my Firefox is 5.0. The interesting thing is that while the menu looks all right and I am able to *see* the correct URLs when I mouse over the different links, the links themselves are not working. I think something may have introduced when you fixed the problem with the menu earlier today: the menu looks the way it ought to and drops down as I scroll over it, it's just that clicking the links doesn't do anything.
(The current glitch does not stop me from doing what I need to do as my browser remembers all the pertinent URLs anyway.)

Re: Menu is screwy in firefox Posted by Aranel Took August 13, 2011 - 19:55:49 Topic ID# 11007Hi Ryanna,
I just tested the website in Chrome (Version 13.0.782.112 for Mac) and the
menu is working.
You may need to clear your browser cache -- Chrome may still be loading the
"broken" page from its cache.
If you still have problems after clearing your cache, please let me know. I
will also need to know which version of Chrome you are using.
Thanks,
Aranel
