Is anyone besides me having a problem with the review filter? When I try to use any of the Search functions, the list sticks or doesn't allow me to click on a name/category and boots me back to the general review list. I'm using Firefox.

Re: Problem with review filter Posted by Barbara Rich September 15, 2011 - 9:27:49 Topic ID# 11044Sometimes. I'm using Firefox as well.
Also, sometimes when I click a new page I get a pop-up asking me if I am
sure I want to continue. It says something about the script that's running
being a problem, if I click continue it pops back up two or three times
before it lets me have the page. But it only happens on the MEFAs site. And
both problems only happen intermittently, which is why I haven't complained
about it. Sometimes the site works just perfectly for me.

Re: Problem with review filter Posted by Aranel Took September 15, 2011 - 15:25:43 Topic ID# 11044Hi Brenda & Dreamflower,
The problem is most likely being caused by the page not being completely
loaded when you try to use the filter. The filter should appear inside a
collapsible "accordion" box labeled "Review Filter" and the select menus
will be on a grey background. If the select menus are not inside this box,
and appear on the white background, that means the page has not finished
loading, so they won't work.
The code is supposed to use a "buffer" to not display anything until it has
all finished loading, but for some reason I have not yet figured out it is
not working on this page, so it is displaying the page before it's ready.
Dreamflower's pop-up is not part of the site, but is a browser error, and
means it's taking a while for the page to finish loading (the page is using
Javascript to create the collapsible box and the review table). The table is
very large (it's loading in EVERY Review, not just the 25 listed by default
on the first page), so if the server is being hit hard, it can take a while
sometimes.
Until I can figure out why the buffer isn't working, you will need to be
patient and let the page finish loading (when the collapsible Review Filter
box appears) before using the filter. The filter works fine once loaded
(tested in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome).
Thanks,
Aranel
