I was catching up on Men, Elves, and Hobbits nominations last evening as
well as adding approved stories to the web site. Then I was working on a
few revisions to a story of mine. The I heard a thump on the porch. One of
the plastic chairs blown over, I figured. I figured correctly, but that was
of little consequence. My power went out shortly after and remained out
until 8:30 this evening. I briefly woke from my nap to acknowledge that I
finally had power again, then went back to sleep. Until 10. I hadn't
planned on a 6 hour nap. Ah well. Past time for my weekly Fanfiction
Facilitation Communication with Dwim, but I called her anyway. And then I
called T-Mobile to complain about the lack of signal in my house, yet again,
and the fact that I couldn't conference my home phone so that I wouldn't
have to a) stand at my kitchen sink (the only place I can even get an
unreliable signal) to speak to Dwim or b) use my calling card and actually
pay for the long distance call. I ended up doing b. They finally managed
to tell me that there is nothing they can do about my signal and that the
signal wasn't strong enough to conference. And they can't change my rate
plan to another rate plan (my sister has the other phone on the account and
went over so we need more minutes) without a) losing the free evenings or b)
re-upping for another year.
To say I'm happy with T-Mobile is a gross understatement. So I promised them
I'd tell everyone I know NOT to use T-Mobile. That's why I'm bothering to
spill all of this here. I have to keep that company for 10 more months.
Grrrrrrrr...
Well, finally getting through with them, it's 2 am. Which is why there's no
update on the web site and I haven't even read any of the posts here (or
anywhere else) since Saturday evening. I'll try and catch up tomorrow.
