Yahoo behaving badly Posted by viv June 15, 2004 - 21:46:32 Topic ID# 1454
I'm not sure if other folks are having this problem, but Yahoo has
been dead set against me all day today (something to do with their
spiffy new space allowances in mail?). At any rate, it's taking me a
long time to add to the nomination database, and every other time I
click a button, I get a server-error screen. Even though I'm triple-
checking, some info may get lost tonight. So after tomorrow, folks
who have nominated stories *please check the nom database here on the
yahoogroup to make sure all your nominations made it in*.

Thanks!

Strange. I haven't been having any server problems. I've been logged in all
day. Would you like me to go ahead and add the stories that I know have
been approved?

Yahoo has been acting up for me all evening also. I can't even get my messenger to open, and my yahoo groups page isn't loading either. I'm giving up for the evening. It will be tomorrow before I get to add anything to the database. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this email comes through okay.

Unless something comes through at the last minute, Crossovers should be completely up to date. Would everyone who nominated in this category please check your nominations there and make sure I got them added correctly?

I have a Silm nomination from yesterday and quite a few to add in the Lord of the Rings category, but both categories were all caught up over the weekend. So unless the nomination was made yesterday or today, please check those two categories as well and make sure I didn't miss getting your nominations in there. Thanks very much!

Anna

PS. I asked Nancy Brooke, Silvermoon Lady, Bitten Buggy, Saralitazie, and Moralanqua to email their permission for my nominations of their stories and they all said they would. So hopefully those should have arrived or will arrive soon.

Hi Anna,
I have the emailed permissions from Nancy Brooke and Moralanqua,
I've updated the database, but was having trouble with yahoo mail
last night. Hopefully this morning I will be able to foreward the
messages to Ainae.

I nominated Katharra's "Ripple Effect," a LOTR-Buffy the Vampire
Slayer crossover, and while I see it as approved in the database on
the group site, I don't see it in the Crossover category on the main
web site. I hope that just hasn't been updated yet - it's a good
story and I would hate to see it overlooked.

Hi Barb,

If it's showing up in the database but not on the website, that's
probably because we don't have author approval.

Is Katharra different from Kathira (you)? If so, I need to send her an
email. I don't recognise the name, so I have a feeling that I slipped up
here. Would you contact me offlist with her email address?

Thanks,
Marta
