I wrote the review on Sulriel's story completely from memory as the link is
broken. I hope these are the right memories.

O1: Adventures in the Ettenmoors by Sulriel
Sulriel writes a whole Orc culture. Though the story itself seems to need
still some pruning the description of the culture is done very well. Until
now I have not seen such a detailed description of Orc culture feeling real
to boot. The captured Elf not twisted into an Orc but allowing herself to
morph into a Orc soldier due to a fierce will of survival and her adaptation
to Orc culture is written believable.
O3: In the Absence of Her Ladyship by Virvatuli
The last moments of Ufthak, an Orc of Cirith Ungol, in the Lair of Shelob
are described very chillingly. The suspense rises constantly. The dread
intensifies with every paragraph.
O4: In the Eye of the Beholder by Lindelea
Umh, reading clueless the story without the summary's info I did not
recognize the spear. I thought of a device of sorcery, a large insectoid.
O5: Orc Patrol by Igenlode Wordsmith
Wowh, that was a tour de force. Very well written Orc talk. Quite believable
recounting by an Orc leader with quite believable features as the juicy
human youngster inducing irresistible flesh hunger or the dubious sixth
finger trophy. One quibble: "boss" seems to me totally wrong, for me that is
a modern Americanism.
O6: Resurrection by Jillian
The story makes good use of the origin of Orcs.
O9: You will see them at night by Werecat
The tale of an orc with a literary interest is very well crafted. I like
this story very much. A son vilified for his literary interests by his
parent reminds me of movie!Faramir. I am smiling a bit as I feel this story
to have an humorous touch. But I am also emotionally touched. I like the
ending of the story where the Orc song just born of a dejected Orc's mind is
shown. Though the speech is not Orc speech this is explained by the aberrant
nature of the writing Orc.
AUTHORS (remember to comment on the writer as regards to the category, not
the story, here):
OA1: Igenlode Wordsmith
Orc Patrol
Very well written Orc talk. Quite believable recounting by an Orc leader
with quite believable features as the juicy human youngster inducing
irresistible flesh hunger or the dubious sixth finger trophy.
OA2: Jillian
Resurrection
The story makes good use of the origin of Orcs.
OA3: Lindelea
In the Eye of the Beholder
Works for me only with summary. But don't worry, I do not like
personifications.
OA6: Sulriel
Adventures in the Ettenmoors
As I liked very much the detailed description of the Orc culture I would
have liked to reread the story to bolster my memory. I also liked the
description of the adaptation of an Elf to this strange culture. What I
liked about the Orcs was that they were not simple minded brutes but somehow
fierce warriors quite well adapted to their own culture of hate. Somehow I
could glimpse reflections of the elven warriors which were twisted into vile
creatures by the Dark Lord Morgoth. I have the impression that the story
itself felt not complete but somewhat raw, maybe that was a deliberate
feature used purposefully by the author. Sulriel's other stories about the
Elf Sulriel of Menegroth shows us other aspects of the Orc culture even
though these appear only in the sidelines.
OA7: Virvatuli
In the Absence of Her Ladyship
Very well crafted story with a cannon background. Well done. I am not so
sure that the medical background is correct but we could ascribe any
deviations from human experience to the Orc nature.
OA9: Werecat
You will see them at night
Not a very believable Orc but a very interesting story.
