This is a love story, wonderfully told, with a thoughtful use of
words and a deep, clever insight into Faramir, still recovering
from his wound and the traumatic loss of his father, and Éowyn,
a strong bitter character, not daring to give in and still in love with
someone she never will have as her husband… Utterly
believable, full of deep feelings and still one of my favorite
Faramir/Éowyn-stories.

One of the most remarkable AU's I've ever read, meant to be a
short sequel to "Another way of leaving", but in the end grown to
a 35-chapter-tale strong enough to stand on its own. Instead of
passing into the West, Frodo wanders with Radagast
(wonderfully loving, believable portrait of an often forgotten
Istar!)to Mordor, learning to trust life again, healing a rotten,
cursed land and being healed himself at last.It is a lifelong
journey, leading through the land of the enemy, back to Minas
Tirith and finally to the Shire where Sam's wife Rosie has just
died, and the old friends have some precious remaining time to
spend together.
This story is a marvel… told with deep love and understanding
for Frodo, revealing his thoughts and making them
understandable and believable. The description of his travels
with Radagast, the winter in the wizard's home in Rhosgobel (I'd
die to have that house to live in!)and most of all his encounter
with three orcs who have survived the destruction of Sauron's
power, one of them Canohando (hero of the sequel "The
Queen's Orc")and the developing of a remarkable, unforgettable
friendship between "Ninefingers" and his orcish
"shieldbrother"… all this helps to create the perhaps best
Tolkien fanfiction tale I know.

Describing a night of love can be terribly boring when the author
stumbles into the trap of using the same terms and descriptions
as everyone else did before in a countless number of PWP's.
Ariel avoided this trap with glorious cleverness.
What we see is something seemingly very simple... a married
couple, ending a „normal" day, meeting and making love. But
everything is vivid and believable, erotic in a very clear, strong,
but always tasteful way, and both characters, Sam and Rosie,
are perfectly canon... a heartwarming proof that Rosie was
someone „special", the woman and wife Sam really loved – and
physically, too. Great story!
