with the whole summer, there was no way!)

RmI7: The Cursed Queen of Angmar by KhazarKhum
URL:
http://www.scribeoz.com/fanfic/story.php?no=302
Rating: R some sexual situations and adult themes
Romance Partners: Witch-king of Angmar, and wife
Summary: What if the Witch-King of Angmar had married a Rhudaurian
princess?
I read mostly hobbits, though I like reading the tales of men and
fics that don't cover the same old stuff. I came to this fic because
it had one of the most compelling first chapters I had ever read.
The grave, the loving care that it was tended with and the deadly
force that was wielded to keep her resting at peace pulled me in. I
was intrigued and have not been disappointed. It is a marvelous fic
that weaves a strong, original tale and well researched Tolkien
history together with an incredibly passionate and powerful love
story. The background and depth this author provides are rich enough
for her to have made an original character out of the story, but
built onto the Tolkien universe, it is even richer. I can count on
one hand the non-hobbit fics I await the updates of and this is one
of them.

RmI1: A Pearl of Unexpected Price by Regina
URL:
http://www.storiesofarda.com/chapterlistview.asp?SID=604
Rating: PG-13 Sexual innuendo
Romance Partners: Frodo/Pearl Took
Summary: Frodo is in love with Pippin's sister Pearl, but they
discover that toxic relatives and dangerous inheritances can make
impossible to get your heart's desire. A non-slash explanation of
Frodo never marrying.
This fic is taking longer to update than most but it is well done if
a bit sporadic. You feel for the characters and almost want to give
them a push towards each other but you also aren't sure where the
author is going with this.

RmP2: Courtship of the Evenstar by White Gull
URL:

f_evenstar.htm
Rating: G
Romance Partners: Aragorn/Arwen
Summary: An allegorical look at Aragorn & Evenstar's courtship.
I have a weakness for White Gull's poetry. It is lyrically simple
and yet, because it is simple and straightforward, there is no
divisiveness, it merely IS exactly what it says and its power comes
from skill not some obscure symbolism that only a few would
understand. The Courtship of Evenstar really shows the honesty of
her work. It is a straightforward allegory without any pretense.
Her words flow effortlessly and, though I am by no means an expert at
reviewing poetry, her work seems the type that any reader could enjoy.
