Featuring Haldir
RmH3: Love by CC

A continuation of The Paths of Lorien, an all time favourite, this story
once again pairs Halidr
and Lindir; in fact, a Haldir who is jealous of anyone spending too much
time with his mate. But in the end, he is magnanimous enough to realize he must
let Lindir fly free. A sweet story that also shows the deep love between
Frodo and Sam, as the two meet again on the shores of Valinor. I thoroughly
enjoyed it.

Featuring Haldir
RmH4: Perfectly Happy by Alexcat

I have always admired Alexs writing, and she has so many good stories to
choose from, it is like visiting a library, but this one has always been one of
my favourites! Grumpy, stubborn Haldir, who cannot abide a happy
Glorfindel, learns a lesson the hard way. Chock full of one-liners and innuendo, I
find myself chuckling, if not laughing out loud each time I read it. Some
stories just stick in your mind, and for me, this is one of them. It leaves me
smiling and happy; a silly, funny, laughable, loveable story that I enjoy
reading over and over. Glorfindel has good reason for his happiness and even
Haldir cannot gainsay it - a whimsical, humorous Aesop-like fable pure delight.

Featuring Haldir
RmH5: Why? by RennWench

This was heart-wrenchingly sad, beautiful, poetic and oh so moving.
RennWench has a way with words that I can only envy. Her descriptions of grief and
the painful way our minds dwell on never again will I& is done so well.
The story is a sad lament of death, grief and love
unrequited. It could have ended dramatically after the ashes of the funeral
pyre had cooled, but it does not. Even though Haldir and his childhood
friend find happiness in the end, the paths they travel to reach that end are
heart-breaking. When RennWench says find Kleenex in the authors notes,
believe me, do not read this one without it!

Incomplete
RmI3: Elanor's Revenge by Julie & Fianna

I read very few het stories, but this one has been an exception since I read
the first chapter.
Julie and Fiannas Haldir is to die for, no wonder Elanor falls for him.
But, I find myself just
as intrigued, if not more, in the side stories behind that of the main
characters: Orophin and
Dalia, Rumil and Narwen, and above all, Tarwe and Lurien. Each chapter makes
me wish for more or holds a mystery that I cannot wait to see solved. These
two tell a wonderful, wonderful tale.

Rivendell
RmR3: To My Shining Light by Oakenshield

A story of unrequited love - Glorfindel for Elrond and poor Erestor for his
golden friend it is
sad, haunting, and beautifully written. Erestor struggles night after night
to come to terms
with his tragic past and to tell his friend of the love he holds for him.
If only he could
overcome his fear, the two might find happiness. There are two other stories
in this series, I
would love to see a third that would possibly bring the two together.

Rivendell
RmR4: Underestimated by Enismirdal

This is another story I could read over and over. Enismirdals writing is
rich in detail, poetic
and lyrical. Her characters come to life and are quite endearing. A blend
of classic romance
and mystery, the story follows Rumil in his witty, wonderful and engenious
courtship of Melpomaens younger brother Faelon, who at first will have nothing
to do with the Silvan elf.
With the help of Erestor, who has been through a similar experience with
Glorfindel, Rumil slowly changes Faelons mind. It is not just the wonderful
plot of the story that makes it so readable, but the way Enismirdal sets each
scene with stunning imagery and attention to detail. A lovely tale that I highly
recommend.

Rivendell
RmR5: Vanilla Cream by Kharessa Bloodrose

Kharessa is a weaver of words, and this tale of Elronds obsession with
Erestor is proof of that fact. Metaphors abound as Elrond compares his love with
the fine taste and texture of Vanilla. Tastefully done and very-well
written, this was sensous, sweet and mmm&good.

Rm2: Iunctum by Lasse-Lanta

The finale of the Chance Meeting series, a wonderfully, tasteful and sensual
love scene. I would still love to know whom Lasse-Lanta had in mind for the
mystery elf, sigh, but perhaps it is better to leave that to imagination.
Lovely story, lovely series.

Rm7: Spring In Imladris by CC

The Paths of Lorien is one of my all time favourite Lindir stories and I was
happy to read this,
the sequel. Orophin is often neglected in the fandom, and I am glad CC
found him a mate in
Gildor. It was also nice to read more of the exploits of the twins, as CC
writes them so well.

Rm8: Swept Away by Larian Elensar

Larian is another of my favourite writers, and this story, I believe, is one
of her best. Who
could not fall in love with Rumil and Theoden in this tale of a raging storm
that changes the
lives of two persons caught up in it. Rumil is swept down river and
separated from his brother
Haldir, only to be rescued by Theodred, prince and son of King Theoden. The
few days they spend together, alone, sees not only a blossoming friendship,
but a love that will last through the ages. The ending is sad and moving and
cannot be read without tears. A lovely story, romantic, bittersweet and
poignant; I highly recommend it.

Rm9: The Match by Erunyauve

Interesting story of Fingon, who arranges a match between Orodreth and
Miril, Noldo and Sinda. Miril is her own woman and has a delightful sense of
humour and Orodreths response to her at their meeting was comical, yet sweet. I
love how the tables were turned on Fingon when the pair truly fall for each
other. I enjoyed reading this, a nice surprise.
