Note: I have commented on every story that I read; if there is no comment
for a story, it does not imply that I didn't like it, but rather that I
didn't have the time to read it.

Very interestingı I didn't expect the enemy to be who he is. Liked the
interplay between the characters -- e.g. Halbarad breaking open the box that
Gandalf had just said was sealed with a spellı LOL!

Hauntingly beautiful, Levade! I love the voice of the narrator, so
matter-of-fact, seemingly uneducated, but wise in a folksy sort of way --
knowing full well that much hard work must be done to make the land
fruitful, very solid and rooted in reality, but still enjoying the mystery
of the land and the Elves -- and wanting to know that his children will
witness an Elven procession of their own. Your description of the Elves
touches my heart -- so beautiful yet ethereal, real yet not. Most Halloween
mysteries inspire some level of terror; yours inspires awe on the part of
your characters and your readers. Lovely writing! This is probably one of
the best Halloween-time stories I've ever read -- and I've ready many.

Oh, I like this, Werecat! You cleverly wove together several of Tolkien's
loose threads, and came up with a story that is interesting and unusual and
amusing all at the same time. Bravo! I especially liked how Luin was so
perceptive about the humans she met, especially the Ring-bearer and the
Witch-king; it's particularly telling that the WK invoked the name of a
Prince who was not favored among cats. Also, the oral transmission of all
the important (feline-centric) old tales from cat to kitten is a great idea!

Well, this is lovely; there is a warmth between the lovers that is pleasing,
but the sadness that they are parting for the last time casts a pall over
their meeting. I at first thought this was Aıle and Oromı, then thought
maybe the smith was a Fıanorian, then maybe ıol (because of the black sword)
and -- Celeborn? LOL! Needless to say, I haven't figured it out, but the
emotional interplay between the lovers really captured my interest.

Very interesting and thought-provoking! Rihansu seems to be in the kind of
unemotional, shock-like state that people go into after they have been
through great traumas; she seems so matter-of-fact and emotionless when
telling of horrific events in the life of her and her people -- the
sundering, and her brother's loss, and her meeting with him as an Orc. Your
ideas of the Avari having a more naturalistic and less courtly view of
marriage seem reasonable -- the constant state of danger they lived in comes
through very nicely. And I very much liked the surprise at the end -- what
a hopeful meeting!
