*Snork* "Several weeks later, at the front..." This was the funniest
thing I'd read in a long time. I particularly liked the bit about
Gollum as a water-rat. He *does* look a bit like that, at least in
movieverse.

Oh, this was nice! I really enjoyed reading it. The black humour
worked very well, and I loved how this story took us (the readers) on
a slow, meandering journey. The cast was, of course, almost entirely
original, but somehow they felt distinctly Gondorian and very
believable, which is a breath of fresh air when there are so many Mary
Sues floating around. (And yes, the Dol Amroth crew do seem the sort
to prefer blues and yellows.)
