D3: Following the Other Wizard by jodancingtree

A sweeping alternative version of Frodo's life post-quest. Much as I
love the Grey Havens in the book, I wish it could have happened this
way. Frodo does find healing, and though it isn't easy, it is
profound and very believable. Along with "Another Way of Leaving,"
which is the beginning of the story (which unfortunately wasn't
nominated this year, and error that will have to be corrected next
year), this story had me teary-eyed a dozen times. Vivid
characterizations of Frodo, Radagast, and some of the most complex
Orcs you'll ever meet in fanfic.
