Things I've noticed about MEFA2005 Posted by Ainaechoiriel April 01, 2005 - 15:45:32 Topic ID# 3609
You can add a note and home page URL to your User Data.

You may be able to delete nominations on your own if you make a mistake.
Look for a Withdraw link.

You can add your own approval if you're an author who is also a member.
When I log in as Ainaechoiriel, I see all my nominated stories and all the
stories I've nominated. Now, I did nominate my own stories, but say, if
someone else had, I could edit them and add approval by saying something
like "I, Ainaechoiriel, approve of this nomination as it stands." (That is
assuming, of course, that you can also edit Categories, subCattegories and
Lengths of your own stories.) Then, when your author liaison pulls it up to
notify you, they'll see you already approved and can Complete the
nomination.

I nominated my two non-fiction articles that are showing up
under "stories I nominated", but not under "my stories nominated" is
that a bug or did I do something wrong?

We'd have to ask Anthony about that one. I just know that when I log in as
me, I see those two things: my stories nominated and stories I nominated.

Anyone else see or not see those?

Tried it. Didn't work. I was told I wasn't authorized to withdraw a story. Speaking of which (if you can't already tell) I've messed up again. #122 Arandil's "The Shadow Within" needs to be a short story rather than a drabble.

That was actually something I needed to ask you about. The whole two stories that are showing up in my author liason box are completely filled out. Can I go ahead and check complete on those, or are we waiting for a momentous weekend, end of voting season, etc.?

Okay, then. I'll take care of it. We're learning a few things as we go.

You've got things in your Author Liaison List? I don't yet. We're going to
edit the author letter a bit, so don't send any of those out yet. As for
the two in your list, do they have author permission? If so, yeah, you can
check them complete.

Cool. They're my stories, actually, so they've got author permission. ;) I just didn't want to jump the gun and start signing things off as completed before they were supposed to be completed. But I'm surprised your stories aren't showing up in your Author Liaison list...

If you self-nominate, just put Self-nominated in the Author Permission
place. (Do non-Author Liaison's see that section?). Then you can call it
complete.

Our first priority appears to be getting a digest of nominated stories.
We'll work on the Author Liaison's next.

another question. I've messed up a couple of nominations and edited
to correct the categories, but it doesn't show up in the updated
category with a search.

One the subject of noticing stuff on the MEFA awards, I have noticed
something. Either my dumbness rating has gone through the roof (quite
likely) or the new website hates me (possible, but not likely).

Why? I tried the username and password you sent me, Ainae, and the login
keeps rejecting it. Help! Please?
