No, they're not, Nancy, but unfortunately, for the moment, only Aine
can withdraw the nomination -- she'll get there :) I know they are
working on a fix to allow author liaisons to withdraw them but not
sure which will get there first.

Previous winning *stories* are inelligible. Previous winning authors are
not. I've changed the permissions for Authro Liaisons (actually, Anthony
did) so that they should be able to withdraw nominations now.

Yup, it's working now! Thanks, Ain!

And Nancy, Night in Hollin has now been withdrawn ...

Hi Nancy,

If a story was entered last year, it's ineligible. Certainly if it won,
it would have to be entered, so it's also ineligible.

(There is the exception about WIPs -- they can run again as completed
stories -- but in general the above is true.)

If an author had a story win, their *other* stories are still eligible.
And they are still eligible in the authors category. So in theory I
could have entered a story in "Men" last year and won the Men/Authors
award. Then I could enter a *new* story in Men this year and also win
this year's Men/Author award.

But the key point is: if your story was complete last year, and it was
entered into the 2004 MEFAs (even if it didn't win), it's ineligible
for this eyar.

Hope that clears it up.

Marta
