So far in my tentative reviews, I have basically been reviewing just the same way I would if I were reviewing the story normally. I've been surprised at the scores when I finish--sometimes they are less than I expect, sometimes more. Sometimes a story I really like can actually call for a short review as being the most heartfelt, if you know what I mean. And face it, with a drabble, any very long review is going to be longer than the story, LOL!
When it gets to voting season, I suppose I'll have time to fiddle with them, but I am uncertain about how to do so? Change shorter words to longer ones? Gush more? Or should I simply go with my first impresssions, and let the chips fall where they may, and hope that other reviewers will also feel as I do about certain stories?
Just wondering.

Gush! Sometimes a great story may leave you simply with "WOW!" But that
will only garner the story 1 point. And you want it to win. So force
yourself to gush. And yes, I understand your note about drabbles. My
reviews for drabbles are almost always shorter than for other stories, but I
still try to give the one I like best in a particular category the most
gushing.
