Oh high and mighty answerer of questions, would
you mind adding my stories to the database of
completed 2005 nominations? They've been
completed for a while, but seem to have been
missed.

Thanks, Leaward. I've added this one, too.

Just to remind people -- I update the database when Ainae sends out the
digests of stories that have been nominated in the last day. Which
means it can take a while for things to get added, as much as
forty-eight hours. So don't panic if it doesn't turn up right away. I
do make a mistakes, though, so if you think I've missed it (and not
just not had a chance to add it yet), feel free to let me know.

Thanks, Marta

It wasn't that you missed entering it. I couldn't find it on Aine's
lists, but it was completed at the same time as the others ...
probably just got mixed amongst the massive lists of stories she's
dealing with.

Hi Resha,

They should now be in the database, and the next viability report
should reflect them. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

that got missed that were done completed early on.

Well, I could send the whole lot again....

What I di was, the first day, I sent 18 posts, one per page of 25 stories
provided for me by the site. It sorts by day completed, I believe. Correct
me if I'm wrong, Anthony.

So the next day, I only sent stories after ther last story in page 18 that
I'd sent before. That should catch every complete story. I usually run
these sometime in the morning after I get to work. It's nearly 11 and I
haven't done it yet today.

Some stories may end up in there twice as they get marked back to Incomplete
for whatever reason and then Completed again.

Hopefully, it's not missing any completed ones though.

Hi, Marta!

Could I make a suggestion about your viability report, which will come in
very handly when I start nominating stories? I've been busy with non-MEFA
things for a while, and (in defense of my poor inbox) only keep the last
one. Could I suggest that you put the URL of your online list in each
report? So, even if we only have your last post, we still can find your
online list?

Thanks!

Hi Elena,

Just so I understand- by "your online list", are you referring to the
database I've created for these completed nominations? If so, I'll be
glad to include that link. If not, let me know what you're talking
about, and I'll be glad to include that link, too.

Yes, that's the one I meant. But, since you offered, it might not be a bad
idea to put the 2005 MEFA site main address, too. (I find it by doing a
Google search on MEFA Awards, then clicking on that link -- which is last
year's site, then clicking on the 2005 link... Silly, I know, but I've got
hundreds of links saved in many dozens of folders, and hate to scroll thru
them all... especially for a link that's going to become obsolete in a few
months.)

Makes perfect sense to me ;-) I'm used to working from student computer
labs half the time, and Google is definitely your friend, as much for
those sites you have bookmarked on your personal computer as for new
ones.

I'll include all three addresses -- the database, the MEFA site with
all the rules, and the MEFA2005 site.
