I can't seem to wake up the web server at the moment. I keep getting a
timeout error trying to open the page. I connect to all my computers at
home remotely while I'm at work, and I tried to pull up the one that serves
the page and I just get an hour glass. Wait, something new. And intesting,
strange, flashing icon in the upper right corner showing something like
network down. Only if the network was down, I woudln't even see that.
The bad news is, the MEFA2005 website is apparently down for the moment.
The good news is, I'll be going home in less than half and hour and can try
and fix it.
The annoying news is, I'm one power cord short. So I took the power cord
from the monitor on the switch box that goes with my server adn the web
server. Need that to reboot.
Ah, but the relieving news is, when my friend brought me another computer to
rep[lace the doorstop that used to be a work computer and now is a part
donor, he also brought a power cord. So I think I come out even!
Yes, that's a lot of computers.
Give it an hour or so for me to get home and figure it out.

Re: Website down, it appears Posted by MarigoldCotton@aol.com April 25, 2005 - 16:58:33 Topic ID# 4052I wondered what had happened - I had just hit the button to nominate something, so I'll have to check back later and see if it went through or not. (I promise I didn't crash it, lol!) : )
Good luck!

There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.

Good luck!
