Two more correction requests & a volunteer offer Posted by f\_waith May 25, 2005 - 11:30:59 Topic ID# 4428First things first: Thank you very much to those who nominated my
works. I was touched and pleased to know that they were read and
enjoyed. Also, thanks to Larian for spotting the error in the summary
for "Binding" -- I missed that when I approved the nomination, durr! -
- and to Ainaechoiriel for correcting it.
There is one small error left in the summary for "The Hour of our
Meeting", which describes the first meeting of Gildor (not Lindir)
and Bilbo. Also, I'm not sure that the suggested sub-category
of "drabble" is appropriate since it is a double drabble of 200 words.
More importantly, I would like to request that my author name in the
database be changed to Forodwaith since that's the pseud all my
Tolkien fanfiction is posted under ("f_waith" is just an email
alias). I have no idea how hard or easy this may be as I don't know
anything about the database structure, but if it is at all possible I
would be very grateful.
And lastly: if you are still looking for categorizers, Ainaechoiriel,
I would like to volunteer. Please let me know at
thenorthland@gmail.com.
Thanks again to all the MEFA members,

use your help with. At the very least, we'll be posting ballots to
this list in the reasonably near future, and we'd love your help

all thse categories sorted out by tomorrow afternoon. Most categorizers
have taken on their assigned categories with gust. Others I haven't heard
from, and since I'm going out of town this weekend with little to no
internet activity, I'm trying not to panic. ;-)
So, if anyone is available to jump in and rescue a categorizer who needs
help, and can categorizer VERY quickly, let me know.

If I was emailed, I didn't get it, and it's not in my spam filter.
I just need someone to point me in the right direction.

Right now, what we might need are emergency categorizers. We need to have
all thse categories sorted out by tomorrow afternoon. Most categorizers
have taken on their assigned categories with gust. Others I haven't heard

internet activity, I'm trying not to panic. ;-)

Re: Two more correction requests & a volunteer offer Posted by f\_waith May 27, 2005 - 15:40:10 Topic ID# 4428Marta, thank you for fixing those minor details so quickly! I feel much
more "myself" now that the name on the stories says Forodwaith. <g>
ability to do *anything* very quickly these days. If there are any
other volunteer roles open with a longer deadline, I would be happy to
pitch in.
Any of the organizers should feel free to email me (thenorthland at

most often).

means you can help us by looking for errors. Typos, incorrect
information, URL's that point to the wrong story, that kind of thing.
You can help by looking over these and posting if you catch any errors.
In the fall, we may also be looking for people to help with the
counting of votes. The new website does a lot, so I'm not sure how much
help we'll need, but I'm sure we'll need some.
Thanks for offering.
