Check Ballot Season Extended Posted by Marta Layton May 26, 2005 - 23:45:10 Topic ID# 4437
Since Ainae is going on a retreat this weekend and several of the
categorizers have had various RL things come up that have delayed our
finishing the ballots, we decided to push back the end of Check Ballot
Season. We'll try out best to have drabbles finished by *next* weekend,
not this Tuesday (May 31) as would have originally been the case.

What does this mean for you? You can still read and review stories. As
a matter of fact we encourage it; we won't be extending reading season
to compensate for the longer-than-expected check ballot season. So you
still have to have all your reviewing done by the same day.

Remember that you still can't vote for authors until we finalize these
categories because those votes are category-dependent. That means if
the same author has stories in Elves, Humor, and Silmarillion and you
want to do author votes that will count in all three categories, you
have to enter the vote under each category. So it's not possible to
vote for authors until the categories have been finalized. But by all
means, jot down your authors votes in a word processor file, and
copy-and-paste them at some later date.

Anyway, thanks for your patience. We really are trying to get this done
on time, but we thought it's better to take a little extra time and get
things done right.

Categorisers, we want to get all categories finalized by this weekend.
If you need help, just ask! Some of us (like Forodwaith) are willing to
help if needed.

Marta
