Back and Exhausted Posted by Ainaechoiriel May 30, 2005 - 23:06:39 Topic ID# 4463
Funny how vacations and retreats are for resting and relaxation but you're
exhausted by the time you get back home.

Anyway, it's good to see my kitties again and I can't wait to hear about my
boss's adventures trying to feed the two that hide or what she thought of my
plodactyl Thumbellina. ;-)

I had hoped to get on the internet while I was away as there was WIFI access
there, but my laptop wouldn't cooperate and their wifi was a bit flaky, too.
In the end, I had to call my sister and prioritized one thing I asked her to
do for me remotely. That was about 10:30 pm last night. Apparently,
whatever happened to my computers at home did so at about 11pm. Because my
bedroom clock is flashing 11:53pm right now. So nearly 24 hours ago my
electricity must have cut off. When I got home, 2 of my computers were
booted. Not the web server. That and two others were waiting on someone to
push the power buttons. Then the web server didn't want to work through my
hub. I spent about an hour and a half playing with that and finally, the
hub decided to play nice. So, the site and all my other computers are once
again up and running.

Anyway, though I'm usually a nightbird, I'm too tired to look at the 20
someodd e-mails in MEFAwards or the 55-ish in the Staff group tonight.
Hopefully, I'll have a fairly slow day at work tomorrow and can get a lot of
catching up done.

See ya tomorrow!

There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.
