Many people have read the work of Tolkien based on the accounts of history
given in the Red Book identified to have been recorded by Bilbo and Frodo
Baggins with compilation and editorial work by Samwise Gamgee. What follows
is an account immediately following the events of the of the sixth book,
specifically, beginning in the chapter entitled, "The Scouring of the
Shire". This work stands in contrast with the historic information appearing
only in the Appendixes of Tolkien’s work, i.e. the notes about how everyone
lives happily ever after following the close of the last chapter, and no
effort has been made to reconcile this account with those in the
appendixes..

Capitalise "The"? In the books it's one phrase: "The Prancing Pony"?

Is there any reason this is in quotes? It doesn't seem like a direct
quote from the books or anything.

Delete "Shire, friendship"? This sounds like subcategories instead of

I'm not sure about this warning. Silm knowledge isn't a reason that it
would require a higher rating is it? I'm not saying that shouldn't be
included somewhere (though maybe it would fit better in the summary),
but shouldn't there also be some reason why it's rated PG? Adult
themes, or violence, or...?

Since this is in a drabble category, should it maybe not have
"Drabble." at the beginnign?

Am I reading this correctly? It sounds like Galadriel is reflecting on
her experience with Frodo when the two of them were previously in
Valinor before. I've read this drabble, and I think it's about their
experiences in Middle-earth.

I think the beginning of the summary should be "After ROTK" or
"Post-ROTK"?

There are only two WIP pieces listed. Do they need to be moved to
another category?

I think you get the gist by now, so I'm not going to reply to each of these.

Nope, let it stand the way the author wrote it (or approved it).

No, and for the sake of consistancy, I will edit those out.

Yes, they do, so yes, I will.

It's not. I'll put it in the summary

Actually, it's not even that, according to Word. It's 201 words. And that
makes it a ficlet.

Yeah, I'll change that one.

That one has already been pointed out.

Author's territory.

There are quite a few more than 2. Is this the category that I posted the
check ballot in 2 parts?

I suspect it's a quirk of Word's word count features. Computerised
ones, especially built into other programs like Word, aren't that
reliable in my experience, so I usually count by hand. I've recently
found a program that does word counts by counting the number of spaces
that follow another non-space character, which is much more reliable.

In any case I'm the author and I *meant* for it to be a double drabble.
It's conceivable that I miscounted and so had a word too much. (And I
know I should have included the fact that it was a double drabble in
the summary myself, but at the time I approved it I thought it would be
running in the drabble category.)

Most drabbles didn't have "Drabble." anywhere in the summary, but some
did.

Yes, it was. And I caught that mistake when I saw the second part.
Sorry for the confusion.

I went and looked at it, and there's a dash. The computer program in
Word counts dashes as well as words, so this ficlet actually really is
a proper droubble. Since you're counting 200 words as ficlets anyway
(unless they're two drabbles in series) I don't think it will make a
difference for this one, but you should know about the "dash" quirk if
you've been using Word to verify wordcounts for other drabbles.
