My time at the office has just become more work for me. I used to remotely
connect to my home computers and happily play around and answer e-mail
during hte downtimes as a Help Desk Technician.

But now we are preparing for a major software overhaul, replacing a lot of
our inhouse programs with one giant ERP application. And so the Help Desk
(that is me) and a few others in the support group are preparing for user
support challenges. So I've got to spend mydowntime, playing aroudn with
the new software, looking for errors in the how-to scripts and building a
FAQ with my questions and other users' questions.

So why isn't this OT? Because it will affect how I interact with the MEFAs.
I will still connect remotely to my home computers. (I just can't stay
away!) but I will have less downtime to read and respond to e-mail during
the day. So don't fret if I don't get aroudn to replying right away. I'm
actually working at my job for a change. ;-)

Okay, back to work.....
