Yes, I remember reading in the books, and Legolas seemed to be looking for

I believe this was the very first piece of yours that I ever read. I had
just finished Implacida's stories, and somehow, found your essay. Totally
started my love of Celeborn. (Too bad I don't transfer that into writing
more fanfic about him, I guess). Oh, and I still think Marton C is gorgeous,
though they could have done a better job with his hair in the movies. *grin*

I've read this on the list, but wanted to re-read it here. I guess I still
don't understand Lindir, a relationship does take two to work, and he was
ready to take all the blame and none of the credit. They both made some
mistakes, obviously. Reading this time though, Lindir really kind of ticked
me off. He was being a martyr, at least it read that way to me. That's
pretty passive agressive and is very hard to counteract. I'm glad they both
got mad and really started to communicate! Silly elves.

This was wonderful!! I loved the part where Firefoot ate the carrots as fast
as he could to show his appreciation...and wnating the king to go back to
his own stall!

What a different perspective. Makes me pity Melian instead of hate her. It
also seems very resonable that she would be unable to lead the people since
she wasn't trained for it, nor was she created to live with the pain of
losing her loved one(s).

Cute piece. It's a good thing Eldarion has Eowyn to go to! And his reaction
was priceless! I have a young nephew and he thinks kissing is ewww too.

Yep. Typical males. I was a bit confused by the lack of names, but as I
read, I think that the style fit, it was much more amusing to *not* name

I liked this the first time I read it. What a circuitous route it took for
Celeborn to realize that Celebrian was just following a family tradition,
really, by blending the works of the Noldor and the wood elves.

I like the imagery you used.The cleansing fire, burning out the evil...and

How difficult it must have been for Arwen to tell them all, and for them to
hear. I think Elrohir reacted with good grace though, after he worked
through his hurt...

Eww...yuck. This was so sad! And graphic. Though it was something that

Totally captivating piece! I really had sworn off all but elf stories, I'm
glad I broke that trend with this one. It all seems so logical, the whole
breeding thing, and the clans, even the grudging respect that Ugluk and
Eomer had for each other. Wonderful! Just wonderful!

Ooohhh...Theodred is one of my favorites of Tolkien's minor characters. I
didn't realize there was information about him in Unfinished Tales, thank
you for that reference! Great gap-filler. I'm so glad I read it. I always
wondered how Theodred reacted while Grima was taking over his father's
mind--I know he would have been trying to counteract it, and I guess he was
successful enough that they had to kill him to make progress with their
plans.

I'm usually terrible at understanding/seeing symbolism, which means I
generally don't like stories with it, but this was well-written enough so
that even I understood it. Interesting view of Feanor's little brothers.

This was incredibly emotional. I sniffled, thinking about Celeborn talking
to his own daughter about Arwen's death. It was good to see that Celeborn
and the twins held no resentment toward Aragorn, and that they could see
Arwen was at peace, and even joyful about her choice.

NOoooooo! I mean, I knew Legolas couldn't marry her, but....Yikes!!

I'm glad that Legolas and Galelas came to an understanding, though under the
circumstances, they could hardly do anything else. It's funny, but I never
liked him much until Eilian did, and you showed more of what his home life
was like--with his older brother and all.

You know, seeing how much Legolas longs for a relationship, I wonder if
you're going to give him one, once he gets to Valinor....*grin* I guess he
could meet Tuillin again? That would be sweet enough even for all of us
mushy romance lovers!
