Clustered reviewless stories (Dwim) Posted by BLJean@aol.com August 25, 2005 - 17:40:12 Topic ID# 5257
But actually that would make sense... I for one have been nibbling away at
the ends, except when the name of an author I know happens to cross my mind (I
am subject to lots of random impulses...) and I look up their stories in
particular and start writing reviews.

So of course stories in the middle would get fewer reviews. They are harder
to get to!

You have to make a point of paging through until you reach the middle.

(making mental note)

HTH, (actually, hope it's an accurate assessment of the situation)

So I don't get it. Either the stories without any reviews yet just
*happen* to be clustered in the middle of the 28 pages of fics
generated by the "2 or fewer reviews" filter, or it's a question to
pose to tech support.

Well, but I've ordered my reviewing this way:

Click first story number that displays to get everything in overall
numerical order.

Review one category at a time moving straight through from earliest
nomination to latest one within it.

Choose new category, roughly according to number of stories in it and
interest in category. Repeat process.

My review distribution should therefore be pretty evenly spread over
early, middle, and late nominations. I'm sure there must be others
using similar methods to review.

But perhaps you're right, and more people are moving through from the
ends of the spectrum. As long as all stories show up, I'll just keep
lighting the votive candles to the coding gods...
