I made a set of banners for the Hobbits category, uploaded them to the
photos section at the Yahoo site, and e-mailed them to Ainae, as
requested. They are at the Yahoo site still (I just checked them),
but they never showed up on Ainae's site, and they are not included in
the poll. Ainae, if my e-mail to you got lost, as it seems it did,
would it be possible to check the date on the Yahoo site to prove I
submitted them well before the deadline, and edit to poll to include them?
I also made a set of Elves banners, but it seems I never actually sent
them in, so I'll just save them for next year.
One of my Dwarf banners, Erebor #5, was showing as a broken link on
Ainae's site for a while. I just checked it, and it is showing up,
but much too big - it really is the right size. If you need me to,
Ainae, I'll e-mail the original file to you again.
Thanks.

Hi Elana,
I'm very sorry about the mess-up. I'm not sure why they didn't make it
to Ainae's website, which is what I used when putting together those
polls. Ainae, can you check whether these were emailed to you? I'm not
sure why they wouldn't be. Let me know when you get them up.
Now I have a quandary. I can edit the poll but we'll lose the current
votes if I add another choice. Another option is to allow a "write-in"
entry: if anyone wants to vote for Elana's banners they would email me
and I would make a note.
Personally, I'd prefer to edit the poll. Simpler for me, more fair for
Elana. It would mean that everyone who has already voted will have to
vote again, though.
What do you guys think?
Marta

in to it at least before the deadline. I think we should edit the
poll (and loose the current votes) because that would basically
start voting again and give the person who made the bannners the
fairest chance. Just my opinion. :-)

Re: (Please Read, Ainae) Re: [MEFAwards] Hobbits banners Posted by Ainaechoiriel October 03, 2005 - 0:17:51 Topic ID# 5554I thought I fixed them all last night. (Changing the filenames and/or URL's
is easier than changing the polls.) Let me know if there are still some
problems. Be specific about them. Because I don't have time to sort
throught everyone one of them myself.
I fixed some Frodo ones last night, I know, some Erebor, some others.
As for Erebor5, I had it but somehow it got corrupted. So I had to copy it
from the Yahoo site, and as I've said before, that can mean it gets blown
up. So yes, e-mail me another copy of it to bring it back down to size.
I did go through the Yahoo section a couple of weeks ago and noted some
banners that were there but not named (as to who made them) and not e-mailed
to me (or I didn't get them) to be official. Elana, are those the Hobbit
banners in question? If you can show me a Sent-mail with the proper time
stamp, and e-mail them to me again, I'll say they are official and yes,
we'll have to reset the poll.
