Hey guys,

We're nearing the end of this year's awards. Lots of people are getting
lots of reviews in, which is good. You still have twenty-three hours
(give or take) to enter all of those reviews. Remember, if you would
like your draft reviews counted, change them to tentative or final by
tomorrow night (midnight US central time).

If you were a member last year you'll remember that we had a post
mortem in which we discussed improvements to make to the awards next
year. We'll have that again, but first we'll take a short break. Plan
for the post mortem to start around November 1.

This year we'll be doing things a little differently. If you have
something you'd like to see discussed send an email to
mefasupport@gmail.com . I'll group them into topics (for example, ideas
on how to limit the number of nominations) and present one or two
topics at a time to allow everyone to discuss them thoroughly. So if
you have suggestions about how you'd like to see things changed, send
an email to mefasupport@gmail.com . If you know someone who won't read
this message but has suggestions, feel free to pass this along tot hem,
too. :-) Even if you don't have specific suggestions, feel free to send
along areas where you feel things didn't go as smoothly as they could
have.

We'd like to minimise changes to the website. This isn't to say there
can't be any at all, but try to think in terms of changes to procedure
or policy, instead of technical changes.

Btw, I am going out of town and may not have internet access starting
tomorrow afternoon; I should be back late Tuesday night.

Cheers,
Marta

The post-mortem is officially open. For the next two weeks we'll be
discussing the nomination process. If you would like to participate in
the discussion, you are officially invited.
