I don't know if this is a computer issue or an error on the reviewers'
end, but I've noticed a couple of blank reviews come up on the site.

Marta has one for Dreamflower in the author reviews, for example,
that's a blank. Also Pippinfan88 has two author reviews of Garnet Took
that are blank.

I think it is reviewer error and this is why: Marta just sent an email
to the admin group saying that she had rushed through several author
reviews just now before leaving to do something else, made a mistake
(which would explain the problem you noted) and said she'd fix it when
she returned to her computer.

It is likely that the other authors you noted made a similar mistake.

Hopefully they will see this post and contact us so that we can
correct it.

Thanks for pointing it out! :-)

Hopefully this will have already been fixed by the time I send this!

It's probably a mistake on my end. I was racing through some author
reviews to get them entered before I had to leave town, and I probably
made a copy-and-paste error.

I did make another mistake that I've already mentioned to Dwim
privately and to the other admins. I typed Dwim's and Dreamflower's
reviews into the same window in the program I used to do character
counts, and then copied both by mistake into Dwim's review window. So
right now Dwim's reviews display both reviews; this was my mistake. I
don't think it affects the number of points, but I will correct it if I
still can (I honestly don't remember if this is a possibility after
voting season closes; I suspect it is, but will need to double-check).

I know these were originally story reviews incorrectly entered as
author reviews that someone (Elliska, I believe - thanks) changed to
story reviews for the author. When this happens, the admin who takes
care of this does the following:

1. Edits the faulty review. When I do this I usually delete all of the
text (or cut it) by hitting command-[A] (control-[A] on a PC) and then
the delete key.
2. Set the review to draft. This keeps it from displaying.
3. Enters a new tentative story review for the author.

Alternately I might just reset the status of the author review to draft
and let the reviewer handle it.

Dwim, I'm curious -- are these displaying as having one point, or zero
points? If it's zero points I think someone just needs to change the
status to draft to get the counts right. Probably not a bad idea in
either case.

Cheers,
Marta

I don't know, actually. When I saw them it was before the end of
voting season, so all the point tallies were still hidden, save for my
own. Haven't been back to check on them.

Fair enough -- from what Anthony said (I think in a private email) I
believe they've been deleted. I could be misremembering, however. I'm
typing this on the way home from my trip and am beginning to suffer
from having read too many emails. ;-)

Cheers,
Marta
