Site is back up. Posted by Anthony Holder May 13, 2006 - 22:40:22 Topic ID# 7001
I have tested it as well as I can think, and I believe everything is
working.

I restored as much as I could from stories 59 and 257 from May 7. I
don't think either was final at the time, so Liaisons will need to
check them. I had the authors wrong. The people I mentioned were
nominators.

The other stories, I don't have any way of getting any backups for, as
they were entered after May 7, and that is the only backup I have. I
will be getting together with Marta to discuss backups.

To the authors and nominators of the stories that were affected, I ask
great forgiveness. Hopefully, there'll be time to undo my mistakes.

Anthony

59 is gone! Posted by Kathy May 13, 2006 - 23:17:55 Topic ID# 7001
Anthony, I'm the liaison for story 59, Birthday Kisses by Raksha the
Demon. After seeing your posts I went in to the check the data, then
saved it. I got the "your data has been saved successfully" message,
but now the story has vanished without a trace. Is there backup now,
I hope?

Kathy,

Did this happen just now, or earlier?

I removed all the stories with no authorID, but I thought I had put
story 59's authorID back before doing so, so I don't know what
happened.

I just replaced it from my May 7 backup, and it seems to have worked
fine. I edited a couple of times as admin, and once as you, and it is
still there.

Do keep an eye out for things like this. With all the changes, I
clearly haven't gotten everything perfect.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I see it now...for some reason when I saved it, it moved to the end
of Raksha's list of stories, and I thought it was gone. There are
still some weird things going on with that story, but I'll continue
this at the staff group.

thanks,
Kathy

Last night Story ID 470 (a nom for author ID 25) went missing after I
updated the nominaton notes. Since there is seemingly more going on with
Llinos, I asked Marta first if something else was going on and if the
story was purged from the system. This explains one thing, but I am
still worried about Llinos.
