Check Ballots Coming Posted by aure\_enteluva July 10, 2006 - 9:22:36 Topic ID# 7226
Hey guys,

I'm about to post the first of the check ballots. I may get
interrupted since I'm at work, but will let you know when I'm finished.

Please look over these. If you see a story that's been placed in the
wrong subcategory let us know. For instance, if it's about Elves and
we've placed it in Gondor - we may have accidentally selected the
wrong option when we were setting these up. If we accidentally place a
story in the wrong subcategory we will correct it.

Fixed-length ficlets, poems, and WIPs are placed in their own
subcategories. That means that WIPs will only be competing with other
WIPs, and similarly for FLFs and poems. Because of this we often had
to move these types of pieces into their second- or third-choice
category. This happened in a few cases with stories that aren't one of
these types, where there just weren't enough stories nominated of that
type.

For our purposes a FLF is defined as:

a piece of exactly 100, 150, 200, 300, or 400 words; or a series where
each part is one of these lengths

So on with the categories!
