I would be willing to do that for Silmfics. I read a lot and do know the
canon pretty well and certainly know how to find anything I do not know (all the
books and very smart friends!).

On Banners

I think the lettering on the banners could be much clearer than it often is
(this is true of virtually all award banners--not just MEFAs). I have heard
lots of complaints about this. Writers find it is embarrassing to have post big
oversized versions of them just so the reader can tell what the award is.
The key is simple lettering and clear contrast with background.

Thanks for this reminder. I am not very graphically motivated--don't
make banners--so this is not a concern I would have thought of. It's
good to keep in mind.

About not being able to read the text on the banners...I've just
abandoned a completely horrible one and I was sure it would be
*wonderful* when I started it! They look great when you are only
putting 'MEFA 2007', but when you actually put the Commended Reviewer
with it, it is totally different! Really is something to keep in
mind! Thanks!
