Stories of Arda Posted by tennesseecree June 09, 2008 - 15:12:01 Topic ID# 8971
Is anyone else having problems getting into the Stories of Arda web site? I haven't been able
to access it for several days now. Does anyone know what's going on?

the www.storiesofarda.com address was getting attacked by a hacker. The new
url is http://storiesofarda.com or you can also get there by going to
http://stories.storiesofarda.com

Hiya tennesseecree,

The SOA website was the subject of a hacker attack. An unsuccessful one,
but to improve the situation that site's maintainers changed their URL
address.

For full details see Nilmandra's LJ post at

http://nilmandra007.livejournal.com/102009.html

The upshot: you can access the SOA website at http://storiesofarda.com/
(notice the lack of "www."). If you have a link to a story at
StoriesofArda, you can access that webpage by changing the
"http://www.storiesofarda.com/" part of the URL to
"http://storiesofarda.com/". Everything else should remain the same.

PS - all MEFA links both in the current awards and the archive should be
corrected.

YES! - they were attacked by a nasty hacker and they've changed the addy

Here it is http://storiesofarda.com/

PS - all the tales that have been nominated that are from SoA - because of
our excellent Tech staff - have the NEW addy.

Blessings,
Agape

Thank you all very much - You all are the bomb - I was beginning to have panic attacks; I've
been following all Fiondil stories. Thanks again for all the help. May all the hackers be
hacked 8-)

Oh! I love that curse! Henceforth, I will use it!

Glad we could help...

And just when we thought things had become calmer, we get this:

(and thanks, Dreamflower, for letting some of us know ahead of time.)

Rorrah will be migrating Stories of Arda to a new hosting site,
hopefully tonight. The site may need to come down for a short while.
We will post here if that is the case.

The site's address on the web will change. Some ISPs recognize such
changes within minutes, others take up to a day or two. We'll put a
redirect up at the old address to help that along.

Until then, the site remains live and well at http://storiesofarda.com

When it goes to the new site, we will return to
http://www.storiesofarda.com

Thanks to everyone for their patience,
Nilmandra

I agree whole heartedly. I was starting to panic myself. I was just
getting caught up with Elf Interrupted, Book Two.
